I am looking for help to get my P330Z Phantom 2 drone off the ground. I don't have a manual, no experience. I just want to get the sequence right with controller and drone. I had it as far as all lights green just by trial and error but did not know why I could not get props spinning. Also need help in mounting the HERO to the Gimbal. It has a 7" Ground Station HD Monitor

Thanks in advance

Thank you!! Capt.!!
You are welcome !

There are quite a few members on the forum that still fly the P2, and are much more familiar with them than I am. Hopefully they check in soon with their tips and suggestions.

Another site that may help you is 'Phantomhelp.com'. There you will find boatloads of information on EVERYTHING Phantom. Just be sure to select the correct Phantom model from the dropdown menu. This site is provided by forum member 'msinger', an approved vendor on the forum.

I say this to every NEWB, tell us what town you're in and maybe you can meet up with someone that can help you get started. I have this drone, but not home this week, but I think that gimbal will only hold an older GoPro, which one do you have?

Awesome, I will check that out too, so far I took the PDF and had it printed out for a hard copy, reading through it now.

I am from North NJ just 20 miles west of NYC. I will post a picture of the Gimbal, I believe it takes a Hero3, which I have, but will locate another one.

The gimbal is missing the hold down and brass screws, I will locate fitting screws and fashion a new hold down, unless you know where I can source the parts for this type of gimbal. Seems to be of really good quality. Thanks Mr. Needleman

That pic jogged my memory, yes you're missing the thin black hold down bar. I don't know what your financial situation is but you'd be so much better off with something like this,

I don't know too much about the DJI Mini line, whether a Mini 3 or Mini 4 would be best, but this package would be so much easier to get into flying, with the built in monitor and incredible video transmission range with a clear signal, something you won't get with the Phantom. I can honestly say it's night and day. I don't know how old the batteries that you have are, but they'll last half the time as the Mini's, if they are even viable at this point. I'm in the Philly area, too bad I'm not closer, we could meet up.

You're never too old. I'm a bit older, still working shooting commercials with a cinema camera and using the drone to get establishing shots.
