No fly zone warnings

Here's an interesting one.....

Today we flew near a local grass airstrip (about 800m away) - they were happy with us flying and had notified all their glider pilots that we would be in the air.

Two Phantom 4 Pros
Both with all the latest firmware and latest version of the app
Both flying on the Android version of the app (one using a Galaxy Tab and one using an NVidia Shield) which was updated last night

Phantom 4 A sets home point and takes off with no issues
Phantom 4 B flags up a warning which had to be cleared before take off

We then took the pair of them down to a temporary no fly zone

Phantom A sets home point and clears for take off with no issues - obviously we remained on the ground
Phantom B flags up a warning which cannot be cleared and will not allow the motors to start.

We are very confused!

it would have been interesting to note if the issue stayed with Phantom B while using the other tablet.

Yeah but we were shooting a wedding so we had little time to faff about. We are going to try and get access to the site again this week and see what happens

If you do gain access again consider trying an ios device also.

We don't have any IOS devices

I would be curious whether both Android devices had a 4G cell connection to unblock the NFZ. In my limited experience the DJI Go needs a 4G connection with my iPhone and will not function properly with either 3G or 1xRTT for a connection. At my house all I can reliably get is a 1xRTT connection from the Verizon tower and so I need to connect the iPhone to my Wifi router for connectivity to DJI.

Neither had internet connectivity either cellular or wi-fi

The unlock on the Samsung was just a tick/check box, the Nvidia showed no such prompt.

We are still trying to get to the bottom of it but the temporary NFZ has now been lifted so it means us travelling a bit further afield to test it
