No that's not true. I don't stick my face in it, it's typically about 15" away, just like yours. Like I said you don't need the second level hood extension, just the lower hood is all you need, and that's perfect for VLOS up and down views.
I find the advantage is it's got the 4th wall to keep out more reflections, and it folds away nicely, flat, to fit in my backpack, less bulky than the thick walled unit you have.
Where did you get those?
In this photo of yours you can see the glare in the screen because it's missing the bottom wall.

Sorry to hear that. I've used them countless times and i've always got what I ordered from the seller, albeit very slooooooowly at times!
Eddie258, yeah some of their stuff has to be shipped from China and the last USB Microscope I bought took about two months. I was able to confirm the shipping date and all and it finally got here. Well worth the wait. I just love their strap on headlamps, LIPO and LED's, very bright and useful.

One thing these sunshades I see here do not specify is weight. Stating that it's lightweight is not enough.
Because for we larger screen users (9-10"), getting a shade that's too heavy means that it flops around too much, making it useless.
My simple sunscreen weighs only 7.8oz. I have no link, but many of us have seen the 4-sided shades (top, sides, back), made of cardboard, fastened with velcro (not magnets), white outside black inside, suction cups on the inside-back to hold the tablet. It was under $20 and works fine.
This won't last forever however, so when I go to buy a new one, I really needs to see your weight specs on your web page, because I won't buy it otherwise.

Don’t know why he don’t put the weight. I do know that if you use his mount with it it defiantly wil not flop around. Actually you can carry it by the shade. Very sturdy. Go to his site and watch the videos,also he is very easy to call. Answer the phone every time I call him, sure he can tell you the weight. I use an IPad mini and it’s solid. I have one like you are talking about for my phone but not very solid and suction cups don’t hold well.
But hey guys, I’m not selling these I just mentioned it because I like it. For each his own.
