"New firmware is crap!" I saw this in the P3 forum and hijacked it because I think it belongs here too.

Absolutely agree. The firmware is too buggy and does not support any available android tabs. I'm actively looking for alternatives to try to ditch DJI completely.

Yep, I ditched DJI GO over a year ago, deleted it completely and bought Litchi and never looked back. I don't believe you can go wrong with Litchi. I along with many others consider it superior to GJI and I just love the Waypoint mission options plus the Mission Hub.

Check it out and let us know how you like it.

I stopped updating at 1.1.90. I use DJI go 2.9.1 for anything Litchi cannot supply like settings, VPS altitude. Updates can ruin your fun meter. And there are NO good points any further update can provide.

Thanks for your reply Jim. I wasn't sure if Litchi could handle the pre-flight settings and diagnostics. I will give it a go and let you know.

Yep, I assume it does. Like I posted, I deleted DJI and have had no issues at all. When I upgraded the latest version of Litchi, 1.18.0 to 1.19.0 my old iPad would not run it. I "had" to let my wife buy me a new one and it works perfectly. I feel that Litchi should have let us know that the newe version was not compatible with the older tablets but other than that, I have no complaints. When I got rid of DJI GO, and used Litchi totally, I have never been bothered with any required updates or warnings, or any other such nonsense that is forced on GO users. Therefore, I assume that the updates and upgrades to firmware were actually not needed. Wonder why they were "required"
Thanks,
Jim
