New Batteries!!!

I guess I'm really a newb for getting so excited about the UPS guy bringing me my two new batteries, huh?
They both have a bit of juice in them and seem to be charging as they should. They are DJI 5350 Intelligent Flight and appear to be brand new. I know that I could have gotten the bigger ones but there is a $92, tax included difference in price for each of them. For that kind of dough I'll gladly give up 3 to 5 minutes less. In fact, my P4 came with only one battery - also a 5350. The plan is to order one more next month.

I agree, I will not pay way over the odds for a few extra minutes flight time. However once or twice I have limped home on 10% battery, and then I would have been glad of the extra minutes.

I went out today with 2 batteries... the second new one wasn't fully charged when I left home. To be totally honest, I was kinda glad when the second one was finished. And not because I didn't enjoy the flying. It was because I got really cold. I was shivering while I was packing up.

No no... both batteries I used to fly were fully charged. The not fully charged battery stayed home because, well, it wasn't fully charged.

But thanks for the reminder!!! Being the newb that I am, I can use any good advice that you and all the other pros here throw my way!!!

Another battery came today. It charged up without any problems. That gives me four of em... plenty for a day out at the park.

if you had the extra minutes you would use them up just the same and still limp home . just drone nature [human nature]

You say that you were glad to pack up as it was really cold. I was starting a flight with my Phantom 3 SE on a cold morning and she refused to fly. Got a warning to say: "Battery problem - needs warming" No problems after warming up the battery" Someone submitted a great article about temperatures and batteries recently.

Oh my... now that's cold!!! In my case it wasn't the kind of cold where you'd need gloves and a parka... it was that kind of dampness that goes right through you to your bones. But the last coupe of days have been COLD. We even had a dusting of snow last night. That along with strong gusts of wind has kept me grounded.

No... I didn't pay $92 each... I SAVED $92 on each battery. $263 vs $171 for each battery. I sure do wish I could get them for $92
