??? This problem is with my dji Phantom 2 +, not my cell phone or tablet.
Mikey, please LISTEN. I didn't say for sure this problem was with your
cell phone or your tablet or other device. What I said was, in summary:
1. It COULD be your cell phone or tablet. How? Well for one, if you have
recently updated the Phantom FIRMWARE it will likely have new settings and
commands that your cell phone/tablet refuse to support until you enable your
device's DEBUGGING ability. That's to protect you and your cell phone/tablet,
whose manufacturer could care less about your DJI Phantom. Your manufacture's
duty is to protect your cell phone/tablet, not your DJI Phantom.
2. In the case of the Phantom 3 (P3), which I happen to own, there is a
glitch in the APP that suddenly causes it to "DISCONNECT". The craft will still
obey commands and fly as though nothing is wrong, but it's uncomfortable
because you don't know a) why this is happening and b) if it will continue to
fly as it should or suddenly crash as a result of being "DISCONNECTED".
The remedy for this is to:
a. Uninstall the APP
b. Re-install the APP
c. Turn on the Remote Control (press once to turn on, and quickly again and hold until the Remote Control lights come on)
d. Turn on the Craft (press once to turn on, and quickly again and hold until the craft's lights come on)
e. Open your cell phone/tablet SETTINGS, find something called
DEVELOPER OPTIONS (or similar) and enable USB DEBUGGING.
Also enable VERIFY APPS OVER USB. This same wording won't
appear in all cell phones/tablets the same, but the gist is that until
you enable DEBUGGING some cell phones/tablets will NOT allow your
device to communicate with the DJI APP. Moreover, I am having
to re-install the software and go through the entire setup every single
time I fly the craft in a new location. Don't know if this is a glitch in the
APP or my Google Nexus 9.
All or none of the above may work for you. I'm just sharing with you what
worked for me. If you haven't tried the above, why not at least try it. If it
works, let everyone know and if it doesn't, let forum members know that
as well.
As stated, I use a Google Nexus 9. The above works in my case. It may not
work in all cases. But if you want to HELP people, try the various
remedies that people take the TIME and ENERGY to share here with you,
for free, and then report your results. That way you help too.
