Motors Oiled?

It appears there are two trains of thought on this matter...the Editors and bearing manufacturers.

There should be enough information in this thread now for anyone reading it to make an informed decision ;)

I listen very carefully to the sounds of the motors and when there is a diffrent sound on one i open the phantom and put a drop of machine oil on both sides. After this it flies smoothly again . I have a phantom 2 that was 10 minutes in the water. The next day i was flying again. I made it dry with a hair dryer. Opened even the flight controller to dry it. Oiled the motors and i am flying still! Only the battery was burned the next day, it even made a black spot on my table where i left i to dry. Now i practice with the phantom who was in the water and take video and pictures with my vision plus. I opened the plane so many times, i can do it with my eyes closed now
