Missing P4P. Flew perfect and out of nowhere poof signal dropped and cant

Was the battery in it when you found it?

Yes it was but not fully connected. Slightly ajar about 1 inch. It looks like that may have been the culprit but not sure how. I pull back on them to make sure they secure. It’s strange to say the least. I am very careful and even then these things happen. Guess it was my time. Very happy I found the drone and it’s in good cosmetic shape. It all else fails I have a sweet decoration.

when you check the DJI website for compatible devices only one device is 100% and the rest are very low, I believe the non compatibility of most devices are the culprit for drone happenings, this is why I went to the built in + screen
DJI test very few devices and their list is far from comprehensive.
There are plenty of very good flying devices that have never shown on DJI's list.
About the worst a poor device could do would be to have the app stop running which would still leave the drone controllable with the controller.
I haven't seen flight incidents caused by incompatible phones or tablets.

Next time, I absolutely do not recommend using water to clean a product like that. Just because it’s been submerged does not mean introducing more liquid is a good idea. Good luck, I hope you get this bird up in the air again!

I will also add I have the Plus controller and they aren’t that great. Only good part is the ability to see in sunlight. The rest is of it leaves one wanting more considering it cost $500 more.

It had some mud and sand in it. It’s likely done and had been submerged for 2 days. Figured why the hell not. I also knew that before the mud and swamp water dried I needed to get it out quickly to have even the slightest chance of recovery. I have spent all day carefully taking it apart and cleaning it with camera cleaning tool kit. What would you have done differently?

Tell me what y’all think? How’s it look?.......

Good News! Found it with my bro’s Mavic Pro, which I enjoyed flying. Everything looks pretty intact. Except a few bent propellers.

Bad News is been submerged under muddy swamp water for two whole days.

Can it be Salvaged at all? It cleaned it out with some clean water(because why not it’s already wet) and wiped it out and now it’s drying under a light fan. I guess we will find out more soon. Anyone have experience with soaked P4Ps?

Check out a video by Flite Test with this stuff called Corrosion-X. Amazing stuff. My buddy saved a transmitter AFTER dropping it in salt water. Hope this helps. New components are the best though. I tie a kite string to mine..... Joking, y'all.

You did just right. All dirty particles must be washed away. Once it was submerged, can't be more wet than it is.
If it was in the salt water then no wash could help, so you have a chance.

Well, I understand your pain. However, should you dry it out and get it back to some semblance of normal again, psychologically, that machine will always propose questions for you ..."Am I Good?" "Can I do it"? "What about my parts?" "Am I 100%"... An acquaintance of mine crashed a P3P broke the camera and gimbal off the shock plate and shattered a few props. Looked bad, but new props (had those at hand) and a replaced gimbal shock plare were apparently the only issues. It looked awful covered in mud with the camera dangling from a ribbon connector and messed up props but it has been perfect in the aftermath. Dude gave it to me for free. I spent $0.00 on it. But there is always that little lurking question in my mind. I use it for scouting missions though nothing, I repeat, NOTHING has ever malfunctioned after these simple repairs.

Time to upgrade!

Awesome News Guys! It Flys hahahhaha!!!!
Camera isn’t working.
The only thing not working is the Camera Feed. Says Camera Sensor error. It fly’s really good. Slightly unusual sounds but who cares!

I have a new ribbon cable on the way and hopefully that will get my camera back in the game. If not I’ll sell it as is. My replacement is already on the way and will be here in a few days. Got a really good deal because of the craziness going on.

Pictures of it flying....
