merge phantom 4 movies with ipad soundtrack

There has to be a better way to the the soundtrack recorded on my iPad with the HiDef movie stored on my Phantom 4. Current method is to grab the movie from the iPad and export the sound track. Take that and the movie from the Phantom into Final Cut Pro and align the soundtrack with the movie. Any suggestions? Thanks

Sounds about right. But I would be grabbing the film file off the card directly.

The high def movie I get off the SD card from the Phantom. Would be nice if you could download it to the editor and add the sound, then export.
