Any suggestions for a rookie to find a lost drone after wifi connection was lost

Did you go to 'Find my phantom'? Do it at home so there is a connection to the net or cellular connection to draw the map.

go into the DJI Phone app > Settings > Find my phantom.
It may suggest the last known position.

Yes, and it showed my home position and not that of the drone

Where did you lose the phantom? I found one today. I will return it to the rightful owner if they can identify it.

i also lost a v2+... but that was in texas.
