Next time, floating landing gear, yup, not gonna screw that up again.

Even with floats, you are likely to tip over. Have you considered a waterproof quad?

If you seal (waterproof) your quad it will heat up big time (and that will screw up its altimeter).

There are several waterproof quads. Some have used heatsinks through the shell. They usually have vent to let the inside and outside pressures equalize.
