Long time storage?

What is the ideal way to store batteries for the long term. Winter is settled in here in Canada and I don't have any plans to fly anytime soon. Should I leave em in the case and not worry about it till spring? Or should I charge em once a month and let em auto discharge? What are the kids doing these days?

You should keep them between 30-50% charged. Just check the current battery level every 2-3 weeks. If the second battery light starts flashing, then charge the battery until the 3 light starts flashing.
