I had same on mine yes didn't go all the way around but didn't notice at night very much worked very good . now I have changed them out to better ones very happy LE® 12V 16.4ft/5m Flexible RGB LED Strip Light Kit, Multi-colored, 150 Units 5050 LEDs, LED Strip Kit with 44-key IR Controller + 12V 2A Power Supply, Non-waterproof, Adhesive Light Strips on amazon
give you a tip if you don't want to solder cut your old wires and hook them to new ones that is what I did since I didn't want to solder to battery compartment
Contact Amazon and they will helpBeware of seller from Amazon that goes by the name of BTD defective parts and led strip to short to reach all the way around my drone. I contacted them but they just played games.

Apparently, the connection to the drone is made direct and there is really no need for the ac adapter unless you have other needs for this other than the drone. Is this correct?
