Decided to take the P3A out in heavy snow. Done a 10 min flight... The battery landed at 64% [emoji4] could have easily got about 25 mins I reckon. And the best thing was.... It was flown 10 mins straight in heavy snow and came back as dry as a summers day. Not even a speck of snow flake in the camera. Litchi streamed it flawlessly to Facebook despite a bit of a lag taking pics but wow. This thing is so amazing.

Its as tough as anything. Last year it was stuck on a roof upside down as it rained heavily for 14 hours non stop into the vents. Let it dry naturally... Didn't out it in a bag of rice...didn't even pull it apart.. Just left it there. And it works fine. Handled heavy snow perfectly. Will upload the flight but it will be unedited as not much to show. But enough to show how tough these little dudes are [emoji4]

I fly in light snow fall ... as you found - the flakes get blown away unlike heavier rain drops that can get on the lens ...

At times - I have had to land out in snow that camera sank into ... as long as blow everything of it straight away before it melts and then put indoors in warm to dry out - all's fine. (But I wouldn't make a habit of it !!)

Good on yer mate !!

Didn't last long Nigel, sun came out, launched with another battery, compass error at 170 metres and dropped like a stone. Just started a new thread on that

Sorry to hear this. I was just about to write that you had better make sure it's 100% dry inside and out before taking it up again. I guess I was too slow.
