Can't believe Apple would allow release before software and firmware has been finalised as they are potentially putting people and their quads at risk. Very unprofessional!!

I'm pretty sure it was a large mistake on their part. Shipped to have pre-positioned and put into sell-able stock by accident.

I was just chatting with DJI Sales Support and they took it offline. Looks like the cat is out of the bag in China.

Apple should stay out of this category all together before they ruin it with mismanagement in a field theyre not really known for. Leave it to the specialists so they can make some money for once.
I used to be an apple dealer so have plenty of experience with them throwing their weight around.

Anyway, after currency conversion you are paying about £30 more than the UK ($50 ish)

Yea, but it comes down to making a dollar. DJI has a product to sell and when Apple Stores agree to sell it DJI gets so excited they are still wetting their pants. Like if you had a product to sell and Wal-Mart agrees to sell it. My issue is the small business model just has such a hard time to be competitive with such giants. And I believe small businesses are are the strength to our economy. Don't think I've ever even been in an Apple Store but I admit I do buy on Amazon as I live about 30 miles from town. But it is more for the customer service that I buy from Amazon.

No app. Talked DJI today and they said on or around the 15th. I would think the 14th to make sure it's available to those who pick it up first thing.

DJI released the P3s in April/May 2015. Android had the first released Pilot App, followed by IOS a couple of weeks later!

Maybe Apple is getting the cart before the horse again? I'm glad I'm just watching, this time!

Who wants the extra Phantom 4?
So I originally pre-ordered my P4 through Apple. My local Apple Store had one P4 available so I purchased it and picked it up Now I have two Phantom 4's as when I called Apple to cancel the pre-order they informed me it had shipped already and I will have to return it. Once it arrives. Even though I have it being shipped to my Apple Store. No biggie but... Anyone near Ann Arbor Michigan want the extra when it arrives? At face value, purchase and tax. I have no interest in trying to make a buck
