Sorry to bother you again, but upon further inspection it seems to be a phantom 3 not a 2Yep, that's a P2. Forget the P3S manual from post # 4.
I know P3's and P4's. Not familiar with P2's. Oh well..........![]()

Don't even think of flying in your home. Can I use the drone inside so that I can practice before using it outside?
If the seller advertised that as a Phantom 3, you should claim for item not as described.Sorry about that I meant when I ordered the drone from eBay, the seller put pics of the drone and it the drone light was on does the indicate that battery is fine?
The Phantom 2 Vision 2+ looked just like that.Sorry to bother you again, but upon further inspection it seems to be a phantom 3 not a 2
Well, the pic in post #9 shows a P2 remote controller. P2 remotes do not work on P3 drones.

Yep. The OP bought it off of Ebay where it was advertised as a P3 Standard. Not sure if he's gonna accept it or get a refund for 'item not as described'.Thats because the standard remote is the same design as the phantom 2 remote, the only difference is that the range extender is built into the controller on the p3s, it was only the pro the advanced the 4k ansd SE that had the bulky remote control
Thank you very much appreciate itDon't even think of flying in your home.
Take it outside to a large, open area where there's nothing to run into.
Practice indoors isn't going to help you and risks damaging the drone and things in the house.
Your drone isn't going to have proper GPS reception within the house so it won't have the horizontal position holding ability that GPS gives.
Without position holding, it won't have "brakes" and be difficult to control, but will be easy to crash.
Your drone is much easier to fly than you imagine.
The trick is to not let this fool you into getting too adventurous too early.
Do your early flights in a large open area, well away from trees, buildings and obstacles.
Be afraid, very afraid of trees, buildings etc. They are involved in most incidents.
Read up on return to home procedures, practise using RTH and cancelling it so you understand how it works and how you can resume control in an RTH situation.
Damnn yeah the seller said it’s a phantom 3 standard im gonna have to wait till it comes then refund itIf the seller advertised that as a Phantom 3, you should claim for item not as described.
Whatever you paid, it was too much.
The Phantom 2 series is so primitive that it's nothing to get excited about.
OhhThats because the standard remote is the same design as the phantom 2 remote, the only difference is that the range extender is built into the controller on the p3s, it was only the pro the advanced the 4k ansd SE that had the bulky remote control
im most likely going to refund itYep. The OP bought it off of Ebay where it was advertised as a P3 Standard. Not sure if he's gonna accept it or get a refund for 'item not as described'.
Thank you very much I appreciate it unfortunately I’ll have to wait for it to come and then I’ll refund itOP,
I would attempt to get a refund for the faulty listing if this is indeed a Phantom 2.
You introduction to drones may be a sour experience using such a dated drone that you will have a nightmare finding "good" batteries for.
I would find a low cost Mavic 2 Pro and call it a day. You can still find DJI batteries for it and I have spotted quite a few of these for very low prices.
The Mavic 2 Pro camera is very good and is enough for anyone entering the hobby.
I would go to a grassy field just in case it crashes it won't be damaged much/ i wouldn't fly it inside the house/Hey guys I know the phantom 3 is a little outdated but I got it online for a really cheap price and I’m quite excited to use it, I have got 2 question about it. Can
I use the drone inside so that I can practice before using it outside? Apparently this drone is a like mini leaf blower so things will be flying
And has anyone got any tips for the drone?
There is no need for drone flyers to be able to fly manually, because they are never going to get into a situation where this would help anything. The thing is, if your bird loses its instruments and sensors while flying (which can happen with any man-made device), you MUST be able to bring your bird back in manually, or else you can damage, fully destroy or lose it. I can say this with no uncertain terms, that most drone owners CANNOT fly any bird manually.
