Was looking at the iPad 6th generation for compatible use with the dji go4 app, how does it compare to other iPad devices? Also from my research apple products work better than android devices on the dji go 4 app but does anyone use a android device that works exceptionally well with the app?

There are a few problems with Android devices:

1) There are lots of Android devices available and many have poor specs. Some people buy devices with poor specs only later to find they aren't able to run resource intensive apps like DJI GO. If you want to use an Android device, then take a look at this list of commonly used Android devices:
