installing E300 on the Phantom 2 (non vision)

I was running a wire directly from the power jack of the wi/fi amp to the V+ and Ground point on the main board (as per ElGuano's) photo.
The same wires I later ran to the Black Pearl DC OUT and it ran just fine. So I was left wondering about the 2amp requirement of the sanhans amp.

Sure does, thank you I missed that it was an amp and not a Tx. The Phantom itself can draw well over 2A on that main power connection, so I don't know why the 2A wifi amp wouldn't be able to.

I am tempted to re-try. I cannot figure out why the amp would not power up
I did a multimeter test on the battery voltage and it read 12.8. so unless the amp does detect this slight overage of 0.8v, i cannot figure out why.

Any bright ideas?
