I'M BACK IN THE AIR!!!

Yes, Vagabondvisions, there is also a laser cut plastic one, but the carbon fiber one is really nice. On my bird I trimmed the little bump on the landing gear spread the legs a bit, and the guard clips right in the groove. Small tywraps are included. I made a small soft foam pad to support the camera in transport between the guard and the gimbal clip. The various cut outs on the guard are nice if you want to attach a locator or booster amp.
Looking forward to your continued success.

Thanks very much! Also, thanks for pointing out that the guard could be used for future upgrades. I hadn't considered that. I'm ordering it today!

you might consider a camera guard. and other then looks, zipties are much better then that cxxp from dji. I don't like them pins personally. dumb enginering, but the whole system is way to fragile to use in this manner. i expect a stronger ßystem soon

I'm unfamiliar with the "camera guard". Could you elaborate?

As for the zip ties, I have to say I agree in that they feel stronger than the pins. I just finished installing the pins I received yesterday. They appear to be after-market and not made by DJI (though still came from China so who knows) and maybe a bit stronger than the originals. I'll evaluate how they perform the next time I have an accident. I have both zip ties and spare spins in my crash kit now.

*EDIT* I think I found the camera guard you are talking about. Is this it, or similar?

Well good morning. and inaddition to your talent and abilities, your good way of taking responsiblity you all monitor a thread you started. you will see all the time threads that have bunches of repies but the op never came back.

Here is a link to the guards I have been using.

I think I should get one of the carbon fiber ones to see what the difference is.

I also use this and put it on the vision plus's that i sell

It is a "Remove before flight" tag that goes on the gimbal holder. There is so much to remember it is nice to have "strings" around some fingers.

humm, what else can I share that might get you up to speed the quickest? Ok, have you seen this to make sure your battery does not loose connection.

I am so **** that I remove the lens cap first so the weight does not bother the gimble when I remove the holder.

I also picked up a new solder station this year!

Hate to point this out but the link you posted only shows the user his own personal purchases from etsy. So sure when you click the link you will see the guard you purchased. I see a bunch of cool custom lens shades for Google Glass that I bought. If people haven't used etsy they won't see anything.

My bad.. tried to fix it, but as you point out I am unable to see what you see. I hope that works and thanks for pointing it out!

I edited my above post and I think this works for ya all.

Thanks very much for this and the previous links. I have already ordered the carbon fiber camera guard, but am bookmarking the one you linked from Etsy for future reference in case I need to replace or have a spare. I have also ordered the battery contact cleaner and the flight keychains. I think the support kit I am carrying is going to need a bigger box. ;)

 Because all I need to attract even more attention from local enforcement is to also carry around a military ammo box.

Hehehe, could be fun...
Less attention and lots of room! :D

Ooooooo, you just made my wife very angry with me.

Thanks for the pics on the antenna. I checked mine and noticed the same and bought the ceramic 1575R-A on ebay for a few bucks. That should fix the GPS problem indeed!

Just in case, here is the one which darwin-t linked me to. I can fully vouch for it. After replacing my cracked one, I went from picking up zero GPS sats to as many as 13 (as of this weekend).
