How to make a Asteroid Shot with the Phantom 4 pro - in Post ?

Since playing with the Mavic air , I have come to love some of the flying modes and have been practicing them with the Phantom 4 Pro.

So now i am wondering if I can make my own asteroid shot in post production as that is last one to copy.

One thing i do want to mention is that the GPS signal on my Phantom is much stronger than on the Air .
Such that I can fly the phantom in my house but cannot the air,
I can fly my phantom outside the house when I am inside and cannot do that on the Air
I can fly my phantom while I am inside my car and I cannot do that with the Air.

Just thought everyone should know that.

Use PT GUI or any app that will stitch and render the source images to a “little planet” style final.

While it’s not difficult to do manually there is an app called dronepan that will automate the acquisition of the source images for you. Takes the monotony out of it.

Thanks : Works on the Ipad and Iphone only and I do not see a desktop app.

I wouldn’t expect dronepan to be very useful as a PC app.

PT GUI however I rate highly as a pano creation app. It can be set to full automatic or allow you to very precisely control all aspects of the stitching process. Placing manual control points and masking areas of source images will see you get a good output from a set of images that other apps don’t have a hope of stitching.

That's because the Air uses cheap WiFi communications technology. Limited range and signal integrity can be expected with Wifi.

That has nothing to do with GPS signal strength. You should NOT assume you can get reliable GPS signal with any craft inside a house. The Phantom has a better GPS receiver because it costs more, but the Air should easily get adequate GPS satellite reception outside.
