We have personally secured a number of Wet Suits and here is what we have learned.

The Phantom Rain buyers Test:

Do not buy your drone from DJI

Do not buy your drone Online, Traveling a few hours to pick one up is more than OK.

Do not handle your new drone like a new born child.

So You paid a lot of money so lets get started with the Squeeze Test.

The Landing Gear Squeeze Test:

A one hand catch is a must learn so the first thing you want to do is grab each leg as if you are going to catch the drone in the air and squeeze it hard, do this to each leg several times until you feel comfortable with the amount of squeeze the legs can handle.

Remember you may be catching from any leg hundreds of time so do not be gentle.
If the legs crack that is great: We just saved you $ Take it back.
If the Clips come off the legs that is great news Dito.

The Prop Hold Test:

Wrap your fingers around the base of the Motor and hold tight now push down on the Prop as you lock it on.
The key is to put some pressure on the motor to see if it will crack. If it cracks fantastic. take it back.

Note: you are gong to spin the props the wrong way many times so practice doing it wrong also.

The Prop Lock Test:

The inside of the Props are fragile so after they are locked on with the MOTOR turned off of course
Squeeze the motor with you two finger so it does not move and push on the blades with your finger to see if they will pop off. hard enough that it leaves an ident on your finger, back and fourth.
If they pop off , fantastic, Take it back.

The Battery Test:

Ohhhh this one is tricky:
Do not be gentle with the battery , as that will lead to your drone dropping out of the sky. So use both thumbs and push the battery in hard enough that you get a solid two clicks.

Your going to notice that there is some movement and a gap in the upper right hand corner which is a design flaw no matter how small.

Now wiggle the battery as it should be somewhat snug but will never be sealed.
Note: for a sealed battery you will want the Phantom Rain Wet Suit as that is the only way to seal the battery.

The Case Test: - This is where you man handle your drone and shove the drone in the case and close it , do this about 10 times as that case is rather stiff and placing it in the case and out will test how solid you drone really is.
This will put stress on the legs, the mounts going in the case and coming out. You might want to close the case also to add that pressure to the drone.

Camera Lens Integrity Test: There is a lens covering the actual camera lens it should be put on so tight that you cannot unscrew it: If the lens is not on tight , than that is great , take it back to the store immediately.

The reason that is on so tight is to keep moisture out of the lens and once you unscrew it , you will never get it back on as tight as it once was, so leave it alone.

The Camera Test: So this is really important to test the Integrity of the camera before you even consider flying your drone. This has no limits and you can check out every feature that the camera has to offer.
You can check your quality of videos with are videos as we do nothing special and just use automatic settings and the quality is exceptional.

The Car Ride test: This is to check the integrity of your drone / camera / gimbal.
Place a nice towel in the back of your trunk and with all the props on , turn the Drone upside down and place the drone on top of the Towel. Now drive the car and hit every pot hole with abandon, basically just drive normal. A good hour of driving is all that is needed and now you can check to see if the Gimbal held up.

If the Horizon is still straight , you got yourself a good solid camera, however if it shifted a bit to much, you might want to take it back , and start again.

If you understood how many drones we purchased that had to go back you would welcome these test.

Lastly on the list is before you even press go: Get the new DJI props with a lower frequency as you are going to be spending a lot of time close and personal to your drone and the lower frequency is going to help you..

We are not going to offer what Firmware to use , but not all firmware are created equal.

Despite all this goodness we highly recommend you protect your drone with a Phantom Rain Wet Suit.

Will post a video of all these test we use on are site , but for now this is how your Phantom 4 series drone should work,, we also included a video from the Phantom 4 pro near the end of the drone with some Information about the Phantom Rain Wet Suit , so FYI on that. Its amazing how good the video is despite the tremendous abuse testing the wet suit in the extreme weather. We are blown away.

If anyone has any other Tests , please post them for those thinking of buying a New Drone.

This has to be close to the top of the list of the most ridiculous posts I have ever seen on Phantom Pilots, and I have seen some doozie's. Just saying.............

Totally agree. It's a spam. Notice how he mentions the battery and then says buy a wet suit as it's the only way to keep the battery in.

After that I stopped reading. Total waste of time

Not to even mention the "non-facts" present, if you took the time to read it. ( And there were many)......
