It's not stupidity. Many are ignorant to this.

Any device which does not have an FCC 47 CFR Type 15C Grant of Equipment Authorization requires a license.

The P3 has this GEA but the the aftermarket RF amps used to do a lot of this DXing does NOT carry this Type 15 rating.
