How do I know if my replacement shell is a version 2?

Hi

My original shell eventually started to show cracks in the arms close to the motors. I have bought another shell that has recently been imported for me. What differences should I see in the shell compared to the original that will prevent these cracks again? Is there a version 1 and version 2 shell? I don't want to go to the effort of changing the shell to find out that the cracks start again.

Type in serch engine (top right corner(magnifying glass)) for "old or new shell". Scroll down and find "How to tell if you have old shell or new". Some good pics showing the differance.
