help for new user - can't connect

I just received my Phantom 4 Pro V2 yesterday. Like a kid with a new toy I eagerly unpacked everything, charged the batteries and read everything included - not much there but I have printed out the user manual and watched a load of 'getting started' videos including DJI's.

I can not get my controller to connect to the aircraft

At this point I am not even sure what to do. I tried relinking the two but quite frankly am concerned about pressing the led/reset button too hard. . .

Any help/suggestions?

Thanks for all the support here - I emailed dji on their chat line and got the answer immediately. Apparently a well known (unpublished) issue - have to into the phone and enable the usb connection.
