Hello from the most restricted airspace in the world. Surrounded by airports everywhere actually had this phantom four a year having fun with it
I joined this forum, so maybe someone can answer this question is it normal for a DJI phantom 3 professional to only fly up to 230 feet altitude and the signal is lost..?

No.

Did this happen right out of the box? Are you positioning the remote controller antennas properly?
