P3 Firmware has anyone tried this method of downgrading?

it has come to my attention that it may be possible to do that downgrade you couldnt do before. have a look at this thread at the bottom of the page where they person is talking about the DEBUG file added to the sdcard. please let me know if it works out for you thanks

The above link says that he has an idea:

"I already have a few ideas which I'd like to test - for example, some of the version checks are skipped if there is a file "P3X_FW_DEBUG" in the root directory of SD card; what's inside this file is irrelevant, its existence sets a flag which causes some of version checking to be disabled."

I have 1.10.90 and it CA not be downgraded. Someone who has 1.9.80 can try to downgrade by two versions and report.
