Hi

I know looks like a common compliant, however DJI look to have discontinued the ribbons as a spare part. Any one know of any stock (ideally UK but where ever) or any ideas how to patch the Gopro output into the gimbal or mini OSD by another means?

Since nobody in the UK carries the ribbon replacement cable you'll have to order it from the states and I suggest you order a couple. The same cable is used on both the H3 and H4 gimbals.

Cheers, I found someone selling the H4-3D cable in the UK (although they only had 1 in stock), Just didn't know they were the same thing as they have different part no's (possibly just the sticker through.)

Again Thanks..May bulk buy some form the US so the postage isn't that bad per unit..

I have had the same ribbon on mine for over three years and haven't damaged it while either removing the camera or the sd card

Thanks, My P2 was used to me, so it may have been pre stressed. I understand the logic behind why they changed the design but it seem a strange choice to use a flat ribbon type cable give that you need to take it off to remove the SD card.

Pondering if I buy a Ebay special AV out cable and splice that in if it fails again, not as neat, but may be more rugged over time.

Again thanks for the replies, gives me something to work forward on...

That's up to you but it's a waste of time and money to do so. I have used my GP for other things like mounting it the car while driving or under water so it removing it from the P2 is no big thing and the ribbon is pretty rugged. Still, have the spare ribbon that came with gimbal back in 2014 so I'd say it's rugged.
