GPS signal Mode

Hi. I am almost ready to pull the trigger for a new Vision Plus and let my 3 months old regular vision to my son. I want to know if the newest vision + require the mod for the gps signal to not drop with camera vids, or this problem was already addressed by DJI. Also want to know in general terms about he reliability of the plus vs the non plus. My non plus has over 50 no issues flights, so I find it very reliable. Thanks.

The Plus has similar reliability - it should as most of the machine is the same.
Some Phantoms need it more than others but the foil mod is generally recommended to improve GPS signal quality..

So ive had both..
my first one 3 weeks ago had bad satellites and the mod didnt really help me at all.
bought a new one locally yesterday and the signal seems to be much stronger, without the need for the mod.
Its totally hit or miss and only the dude upstairs knows why

I didnt have a bad GPS issue with my pv2+, I just couldnt get all satellites normally sittin on the ground outside my home.

The foil mod fixed that.
