GoProfessional Case

Ok folks,
Just got my GoProfessional Case for my P3. The guy at my local hobby told me to remove the middle foam cutout where the body of the P3 sits. For some reason I couldn't imagine why GoProfessional would leave this piece of foam in place of it didn't have a purpose. The piece of foam is easily pushed into the cavity where the legs of the P3 will go and has a square of soft eggcrate foam that stabilizes the gimble. I assume this is by design?

Strange. Mine did not come with that foam gimbal support?

I use mine were my Nexus 7 goes and against the egg side keep's it nice and snug.

Well I was using it till I saw what you said about the gimbel support.
So strike that and I use bubble wrap for were my nexus goes now.

It actually works quite well to keep the gimble stable. I was worried that it would put too much upward pressure on the gimble but I watched very closely with a flashlight as the gimble made contact with the eggcrate foam. It really just gently rests on it.
