GL300C RC battery problem - doesn't fully charge; fast discharge

Hello!
I own a PH3 Pro. It's about 10 months old and has flown for 4-5 times. I use it for archaeological documentation and survey. The RC was working properly until about a weak ago when I noticed it wasn't charging as fast as it should. Also, when flying, it was discharging to fast (Tablet connected to it was fully charged).
Now I was trying to charge it for a day and overnight. It was on 50% in the morning, but after turning it on it discharged after 10 min doing nothing.

Also the app shows no need for an update but I was able to update the aircraft to the latest 1.11.20 update and the remote is still on 1.9.60. When I tried to update it (via USB flash, and connecting it to the aircraft vith the cable) nothing happened - other then discharge...

My thoughts is the battery was let to discharge too low. Now it won’t charge properly. I’m not an expert, but these batteries need to stay about 50 % charged. The rc batteries are a problem because DJI doesn’t have any replacements. I hope someone else will reply and give you a more definitive answer.

Are you sure it charged fully? It's easy to not push the charger plug all the way in. Be sure to fully insert the charger plug into the charge port of the controller when charging.

A number of guys I communicate with have had their RC batterys go down ... when they opened up RC and inspected - they found the small board on front of the controller LiPo to be at fault.

This boards function appears to be mainly to balance the two cells as the voltage regulation is by the main board where charge socket connects.

Some people have removed the small board ... and then magically the battery works !!

In the meantime I tried to downgrade the firmware. It was charging normally for about an hour... As for the board - if I so much as open the controller I'll lose my warranty here in Croatia. Guess I'll have to turn it in...

Personally - I advise against downgrade of FW - I bricked my P3P following the instructions trying.

If its in Warranty - then get DJI to fix it !!

Thanx everybody. It's going to the service. Nothing I tried helped so I guess I need a new RC. I was going to send it anyway but was hoping to find some quick solution here since I realy need it for a job on monday.

Nothing to stop buying a second hand one ... all it needs is linking and away you go ...

Even I wouldn't look at buying a new one !! But second hand ... ?

Is there a YouTube tutorial on doing this? Or a link with step by step instructions?
Don't need it yet, but I've got 9 batteries. It'll probably happen sometime...

9 batteries ? Do you mean FLIGHT batterys ? If yes - then you cannot remove the board and work ... that board provides auto-discharge / telemetry data control / camera power etc.

The board referred to in this thread is the small board on the front of the TRANSMITTER / CONTROLLER battery ...
