P3 Firmware Gimble motor overload firmware update required

New to this got phantom 3 for xmas flown it a couple of times but it's sat for about 2 months due to weather went to fly today and app says gimble motor overload and a message telling me required firmware update and the drone won't start up to take off I tried to calibrate the compass but every time I do it it fails

Gimbal overload is not related to firmware update, one is alarm and other is a notification. Check why gimbal is unable to move freely.

Firmware update is your choice, you can ignore it and move ahead. Once you clear gimbal overload message, you should be able to fly.

Make sure the grey spoungey stop behind gimbal is off
