Gimbal reinforcement..

My first post... apologize if this has been posted before, I'll be searching the forums/Google for any info.

Is there a way to reinforce the gimbal weak points and if so..without degrading its performance? Uploaded a photo of which appears to be a common weak point (seen several and mine) which when broken also snaps the ribbon cable of the motor.
