Here's a tutorial I put together that demonstrates how you can easily create panoramic shots from a collection of pictures that you've taken. I snap 3 pictures with my Phantom and show the process from start to finish. Check it out!

I prefer to use Litchi to take the initial Pano. There are quite a few bits of software for the stitching, but Hugin is free and seems to do a good job.
