FPVLR Stage 4 Amp/Booster Question

I have a stage 4 FPVLR, let's say I'm out in the field and the battery loses juice. Should I unhook the boosters at that point and directly connect antennas to the controller? Or can I leave the boosters in line, they just will pass to the antenna without a boost? Don't wanna fry anything in case that does happen. Educating myself before a disaster, whoda thunk it.

you can leave the booster in line but the range will be horrible when the battery dies

Unplug the battery and try it, then u will know.
