Flying near Military Bases

Obviously flying within those boundaries are clearly illegal and I wouldn't dare cross that line. However, I have a friend that lives in Havelock, NC and works at Cherry Point.

Has anybody ever flown in that general area around the beaches with success or should I move on towards the Jacksonville area?

I've not been down there in over a year but last time I was I "think" they had lots of NFZ down there. Might be worth looking on airmap.io before hand.

I live in Newport. Ten miles from cherry point. Be carefull in this area. Even in legal areas there's lots of low flying aircraft.
