Fixing an "it's broken" car boot sale P3Adv, it turns out to be an "esc error" with 'hum'

Very clean and cosmetically intact P3adv and controller etc.. Both turn on as per normal but the controller had a bluey green indicator LED which I though might be a an indication of a stuck or failed firmware updater. This proved correct, the firmware has been updated and it can now control a drone. However when a controller (working) and Go app are connected to the drone the motors will not start and an attempt to do so prompts an "esc error" notice in the Go app.

Aside from that and the point of this particular post is that I also feel a faint vibration from the drone, I suspect it would be audible as a hum but I am deaf so can't check.

Does anyone know what might be 'humming' ?
It's more from the central region of the drone than say the arms but I disconnected the gimbal assembly in case it was from one of the motors there and this had no effect.

The motors spin as freely as on my existing drone and any other working phantoms I have played with.

ESC error - use DatCon to figure out which ESC is damaged.

Humming - this is surprising.. in general, a coil is required to make any audible noise from a current, ie:
- gimbal motors, or the small fan at top of gimbal (you already wrote you disconnected these)
- main motors (ESCs may make them do any sound)
- ultrasound speaker at the bottom of the drone (it emits fast repeating tics, like p-p-p-p-p-p, but noone should be able to hear them)
- any other coil within the drone - ie. those used for DC-DC converters - can make noise, if something is damaged near it (though this is unlikely)

I'd say most likely the sound is due to damaged ESC making the sound with a motor.

Ta, bear in mind I am deaf so can not tell if there is an audible, quiet noise. I mention hum because it feels to to my touch like something that would hum.
Re coils humming, is there a fan in the sensor unit?
Actually it's your posts in Professional - ESC status error I have been looking at, notably posts 36 & 38.
I have the DAT file for the last test and the output of Datcon but it seems I can not upload to this site the .wks file version of the ,csv nor the .csv itself
The only mention of "esc" that I can find in the .csv or .wks occur in several places in column EK, the 140th column e.g

The above is all in one cell of the files

Where to look exactly in DatCon is explained on the chart here:
