Face to face with a hawk

I was checking out some hawks and vultures at about 400' and apparently they were also checking me out. Any one else have something like this happen to them?

Yes, hawks love Phantoms. Or at least they like to flirt with them. There are many (hawks) in Los Angeles. They get close but not in an aggressive way and thankfully none have made contact yet.

I've had plenty of vultures come in and circle my hex trying to figure out what the hell it is.

Yeah, that' exactly what it seamed like. The Phantom did not scare them away at all, and they seemed kinda interested in it or maybe was trying to scare it away. It was really cool!

That's a great shot. I wondered what they would do. I see a few around where I fly but have not gotten close.
