Dragging the .bin onto the SD for a firmware update

Whenever I try to drag the .bin firmware file onto my SD card to update my phantom 3, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

What OS are you using? What do you mean my "nothing happens"? Is it not showing up on the root folder of the SD card after you drag and drop it?

Write protection switch on the side of the SD card set to protect ?

Did you unzip the file "open it"?

Stop dragging it and copy/paste it.

Yes, after it has been unzipped, right click the bin, and copy, then paste, to the sd card.
