I wish I could have! And that is a fantastic idea! But within 10 minutes of taking that picture with my cell phone, it was raining HARD. The incoming winds when a storm blows in from off the Gulf like this are in excess of 20mph on the ground. At a 75' flight level, they're significantly higher. Since I did an advanced calibration yesterday, I didn't want to risk flying her in that kind of wind without a few more test flights. That's when I like ta go up and get pictures !
When I see it coming like that !!
Yep ..smart not going up till ya see just how it's going to do after working on it !!
I can fight the wind most of the time where I'm at and get stuff like this
And have gone up and the rain start and almost not get down in time but I love that rush
Being where you are at though is a different story !
Ya it's OT bro ...we kinda cut up in here ya might sayThat thread is hilarious!
In addition to doing work on it yesterday, I only have about an hour of overall flight time on this particular aircraft. It will be a few more hours of experience before I'm brave enough to face an incoming storm!
