I have a ipad mini 2 and whenever I try to open the dji go app for my phantom 3 4k it just crashes instantly before even opening so I got litchi so I can use it but I need to calibrate the imu which I cant do without the dji go app. What do I need to do to be able to calibrate the imu?

DJI GO 3 is not compatible with the iPad mini 2. DJI GO 3 requires iPadOS 12.0 or later, while the iPad mini 2 can only be updated to iOS 9.3.5. This means the iPad mini 2 is running an outdated operating system that is not supported by DJI GO 3. The iPad mini 2 is also a 32-bit system architecture, while DJI GO 3 requires devices with a 64-bit system architecture.

DJI GO is not a power hog and most phones and tablets will run it, sadly yours will not. If Litchi somehow does work on your ipad mini2 you might want to put GO on another device for calibrations and a backup. If you ever upgrade to a drone using GO4 or FLY app, you'll need at least an ipad mini5 to handle the power required. .

The Ipad mini 2 came out in 2013 ... in electronics terms, that was back in the stone age.
The Mini 4 was very popular for flying with the DJI Go app back when it was the current Ipad mini from 2015.
If I was you I'd look around for an Ipad mini 4 or a later model.

Wow, you must know a lot about crApple devices. :).

@98PurpleCherokee,

Rod ..
@RodPad ......no, I cheated. I used to use an iPad mini 2 also and had the same issue as the OP. The GoApp updated one day and would not work with the iPad mini 2's maxed out updates. So I bought a new iPad. Auto app updates turned OFF.

So now, I don't update ANYTHING.........DJI Firmware,.....GoApp updates.... No Geofencing restrictions..........NOTHING. EVER. All my birds fly great with no issues.
