iOs 26 app DJi app crashing

I'm guessing you're seeing the same thing I am. DJI GO opens, but it crashes as soon as you try to switch to the camera view.

Crap, $hit crApple

With my Iphone 13 the app opens, briefly shows the camera view (0.05 second) then the load screen then shuts out, It is possible to wind mine back to IOS 18 but its a company phone and they force upgrades on us which i found out when i did roll it back to IOS 18.
From what i read DJI arent bothering with IOS anymore hence the lack of an IOS version of apps like Litchi, instead they seem to be favouring Android devices

Yes, mine does the same thing and even with the drone off and not connected to the remote the app crashes

The last 2 posts, ouch.

I'm going to have to figure out something before Monday.
Last time I was at this area, Pacific City, February?

I could only fly my MM1
Dirt airport. Pacific Coast, I was a little?

Trying to catch up.
Just now looking.

My iPhone 12 mini.
iOS 18.6.2

iPad (7th generation)
iOS18.6.2

iPad Air 2
IOS 15.8.5

Obviously this tread is DJI-Go (Phantoms)
I couldn't fly a Phantom there, to close to this airport.

Surprised, I could and did fly my MM1, Scary.

"Please think twice before updating to 26 IOs,"
I'm really lost the 26 iOS?

@captainmilehigh
Recently conversion wise, my dad flew an employee of ours, from Hood River to the Oregon coast and back, Just for fun (Air Time)?
They looked at this runway from the air, my dad looked and did land on a runway he was more confident with.
Pretty short and tight.

Please think twice before updating to 26 IOs, Now my iPad doesn't let me start the DJI, app crashes even without connecting to the controller
So does anyone here have a fix for this if we have updated to iOS 26. Is there a patch for the GO app?

To downgrade the DJI Go app, you can either
uninstall updates on an Android device to revert to the factory version or find and install an older APK file from a third-party site like APKMirror. Be aware that downgrading may cause firmware issues, and some devices may require using the DJI Assistant 2 software to downgrade both the app and the drone's firmware.

Downgrading the app

  • On iOS and Android:Download an older version of the app from a trusted third-party website that archives APK files, such as APKMirror.
    • After downloading, you will need to install the APK file directly, which may require enabling "install from unknown sources" in your device's security settings.
NOTE ; Compatability issues may occur between firmware versions, IOS versions, and DJIGo app versions.

Downgrading firmware
  • Be cautious when downgrading the app, as it can cause firmware inconsistencies between the app and the drone, leading to connection issues.
  • Remember that some firmware versions cannot be downgraded due to DJI's anti-rollback (ARB) protection, which is built into the drone's firmware.
*** If it were me, I'd find a similar device to what you are using that hasn't been updated to ios26 , turn off automatic updates, and just use an older version of the DJIGo app.

I use an IPad 8th generation (I prefer a larger screen) with updates turned OFF and an old version of DJIGo that I don't update.....just in case of compatibility issues. It is a dedicated iPad for drone flying only.

Thanks. Just wondering what everyone was doing to continue flying the 3 Standard. Think I’ve read that some are rolling back to a previous version on their phone. Fortunately I keep an old phone that I’m able to fly with. Thanks for the info.

For reference, both my P3 Standards are on the same ' parameters'...........

Very old firmware version.......1.5.07 (from 4-7-2016) !
iPad 8th Generation...........iOS 18.7.1
DJI GoApp version..........3.1.68 No database updates.....ever.

I don't update ANYTHING since the above combination works well. No DJI limits or controls, no DJI 'GeoFencing' altitude or distance limits.

Thanks for the info. I’m probably in the same boat. Been many years since I’ve updated anything. Won’t update it either. Phone is the same as yours but not sure of the app version but have it turned off. It sat for years until I found a good battery source. Got it back up and the bug got me. Have several Minis now and have to be careful not get more. If possible I will snag the 360 though.

@captainmilehigh I can confirm it does not crash on the iOS 26 public beta.
