I sent my P4 back after many failed attempts people here & DJI trying to tell me that I'm the one that messed up my drone after the upgrade. My bird is less than 2 months old & was perfect until I did the last firmware upgrade. I tried everything that the folks here suggested & what DJI tech support suggested. I guess they finally got tired of me bitching & ask me to send it back. This is what I received via email today.

They are going you charge you for it? Unless you threw it into a fence, how could they charge you for a FW upgrade failure? I, like many others had a few problems but used the tip from @JohnnyD913 (?) and had it sorted.

It's covered.....at least that's how I read it......but I'm surprised I didn't get new motors. That seems to be another popular fix. At least for the people w/ no warranty

On the top they show it's covered, but below they show a charge and indicate to include case number with your payment.
By Total Payment they may mean total due, rather than how much you paid already.

Sorry I misread the invoice and saw it as some sort of request for payment. I guess they could simply stated 'this one's on us'. How could they possibly know what to replace without inspecting it?
As an aside, I was visiting one of the very few drone specialist shops in the state where I live and the owner was underwhelmed with the service from DJI and actually uses a third party to deal with them. I mentioned the issues that some people were having with the latest FW update and she went grey in the face.
