Dis-mantle P4 Battery (how please)

I'm having trouble with a hardly used (but out of warranty) P4 battery. It shows no lights and won't charge.

I want to dismantle it and charge the cells enough to accept a charge when re-assembled.

Anyone got any helping comments of how to do this without breaking the casing please?
