CT places to stay away from.

Hey all I'm new to fpv and phantom.

Was wondering what are some places to stay away from?

Yes. Airports. But how far away?
Tweed is about 5 radios miles away from 99% of the places I wanna fly. And it's also a class D air space.

I fly manly Branford near the beach and and rt80 east haven.

Read the rules when you go to state parks, city parks or town parks. Some are very specific about not allowing aerial model aircraft, many are not or don't address it at all. I'm a little north of you and have not had any problems at any location in almost a year.

I just wanna be safe and not get locked up for a quad copter.

Plan on being safe and smart as I am with my Helis and other quads.

I was flying in a state park in Georgia a few weeks ago ,a ranger came up and asked a series of questions . Am I filming, what will I do with the video, do I fly out of line of sight etc. she said there was no problem but she was required to ask the questions.
