Crossing the border

I'm planning to take a trip to Rocky Point Mexico in a few weeks. We will be driving across the border from Phoenix. I'm planning to take my P3A. Has anyone had experience crossing the border into Mexico with theirs? If so, how did it go? Any recommendations?

Drove from San Diego to Rosarito about a month ago with my P3. No issues whatsoever but our car was not searched or anything either...

Just take proof of US citizenship. That she was born here for the return trip. Might make customs eaiser that way. Proof of ownership is always good.

I crossed the border into Mexico at San Diego last week. No problems at all. My bags were x-rayed.
