Controller power up with DBS Panel Disconnected

Past posts have discussed the dangers of powering up the controller without connection to the antenna during controller repairs/modifications.
I assume then that when I disconnect the DBS panel from the controller for transportation, turning the unit on would damage the controller?

Yes there are good chances of toasting controller without antennas connected.

Agree. Anytime I plan on taking my DBS antenna wires off I tape over the off/on switch on the controller, just to be sure I don’t accidentally turn it on.
