Compass problem?

My Phantom has been stored in its case approximately for 5 years. It was flying fine when I last flew it. I charged the batteries and the first thing I did was calibrate the compass. Amber light to start then green after the first circle ok. Intermittent green after the vertical circle so I figured calibration complete. Took off to hover at 4 feet and within seconds the light changed from Intermittent green to quickly flashing red. I landed. Have not connected it to NAZA-m. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd hook up to the software could be the battery is junk 5yrs later software should tell you or a voltage meter.Id also go as far as an advanced calibration to...

I’ll give that a try although the batteries measure 12.1 without load.
