Off topic, what capacitor or something else, goes on the negative side of the ampere meter to the cable out ( neg ) side of a battery charger which is a multi type ( 7 ) battery at once tried a capacitor but no work, everything is not making a circuit no output showing on DC am meter, but 80 or so DC volts ready to output but won't till the meter is wired up . Please help you electrical genius's

Current measurements are made is series with the circuit or leg you wish to measure. Your meter effectively becomes PART of the circuit.
There are lots of DMM use and instructional videos if you search for them.
There is typically a fuse in the Amp measuring portion of a DMM so it is possible you have damaged (blown) the fuse if you are not sure of how to make such measurements.

Thanks , believe it or not I understood that, and I'm a painter by trade...thanks again
