cant upgrade firmware after bad crash

I was trying to recalibrate my Phantom after a bad crash(see other post) and the computer politely told me I had to upgrade the firmware first...but the attempt failed....any ideas from the vets out there..flys good but moves in GPS lock

Are you getting any data on the NAZA software? (RC sticks move, flight mode shows up, etc) Most likely the USB cable that plugs into the LED board is loose, or the LED board isn't plugged into the NAZA correctly.

I had to try a couple of times to get 3.16 on mine, in the end the Phantom stopped fighting the inevitable and I got it on ok...
