Like Dirclod, I recharge the drone batteries and top up the RC when I get home every time, using the supplied intelligent charger. That way the drone is ready to fly at a moments notice.
LiPos, unlike NiCd batteries do not have a "memory" so keeping them topped up is just fine, it will not reduce their capacity.
However, as with all rechargeable batteries it doesn't do them any harm to be worked occasionally, taken down to 10-5% and then recharged.
They should be stored at room temperature, extremes can affect them, and if going to be unused for some time charge them to 50%. I'm still using LiPos the are 5 years old +.
